A guide to the preliminaries of the precious pith instructions of Atri in fifteen sessions
Acquired through the extraordinary accumulation of merits of beings living in the snowing mountains, the scriptural tradition of the Revealer1 is the path infallibly leading to happiness as well as to liberation through accumulation, purification and multiplication with the Four mindchangings, refuge, awakening mind and all the other teachings embraced by the three excellences2. From this single source come many branches, among which the Atri Kalung Gyatso, a precise text arranged by the lord of siddhas Shardza (Tashi Gyaltsen) and now translated for Westerners by Tsering Thondup (Jean-François Buliard). As mentioned above, this manual truly guides sentient beings to the stage of happiness and liberation. Therefore, I sincerely thank the translator and I am delighted with his work.
