Padmasambhava ("Lotus-born"), also known in Tibet as the Second Buddha under the name Guru Rinpoche ("Treable Master"), was a tantric master who was born from the 8th to the 9th He first introduced Buddhism in Tibet in the 19th century, his teachings are passed on today, among other things, in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
