The statues are cast from copper alloy using the lost wax technique, plated with 24k gold hand painted face. The statue has undergone a beautiful hand-painted mold to achieve a rich and sensual expression. The statues were individually handcrafted in Patan, Nepal by master craftsmen of the Shakya clan, who are among the finest in the world. These craftsmen are the modern heirs to a centuries-old tradition of making sacred art for use in temples and monasteries.
