Handmade singing bowl made of bronze alloy, with a laser-engraved image of Green Tara on the inside, surrounded by the Tara mantra on the rim. The underside features the Śrī Yantra, a sacred geometric symbol originally from Hinduism representing the cosmic feminine principle, while the outer panels are decorated with endless knot motifs and vajra symbols.
Green Tara – Swift Compassion
The engraving on this singing bowl represents the swift compassion and protection of Green Tara, the female Buddha associated with overcoming obstacles and fears. The interior of the bowl features an image of Green Tara, seated gracefully with one leg extended, symbolising her readiness to help. Her mantra, “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha”, encircles the rim, reinforcing the intention of rapid aid and overcoming of fear. The outer rim is decorated with traditional vajra and endless knot patterns, adding a touch of symbolic interdependence.
Green Tara’s energy is believed to support healing and protection, making it an excellent choice for meditative practices focused on compassion, resilience, and spiritual clarity. It can also be used in any sound healing practice to create a calming and uplifting resonance.
Beaten Singing Bowls
Beaten or hand‐hammered singing bowls are made through a complete hand‐hammering process. Each bowl is shaped and formed using traditional techniques, where metal discs are heated, stacked, and hammered by skilled artisans until they take the desired shape. This process is repeated several times to achieve the final form. As a result, each singing bowl is unique, with slight variations in size and shape that reflect the authentic craftsmanship.
The alloy used consists of copper, tin, and a mixture of other metals, carefully combined to produce a rich, resonant tone. After shaping, each bowl is chiseled and polished, resulting in a durable and harmonious instrument suited for both ritual use and sound therapy.
