TSEBUM – LONG LIFE VASE
The Long Life Vase or Tsebum in Tibetan, is the main emblem of Amitayus (Tsepame); the deity of longevity. The Tsebum represents the enlightened activity of Amitayus, the Buddha of longevity and is used for long life rituals and empowerments. Tsebum is one of the main ritual objects in Tibetan Buddhism. It is used in various Vajrayana rituals related to increasing one’s lifespan.
ABOUT THIS RITUAL ITEM
The Tsebum is made of copper alloy with gold and silver plated and has fine hand carvings of eight auspicious symbols and flower patterns. The hand engraving details are done very finely throughout. The finely hand engraved Tsebum is crafted by the master artisans of Patan, Nepal.
