Medicine Buddha 12 Inch Statue

Bhaisajyaguru (skt. Bhaiṣajyaguru; tib.: Menla; dt. Medicine Buddha,) is the Buddha of healing, who is especially known in Tibetan medicine. He cures all diseases, even those of ignorance. Its function is to heal living beings from the Three Spirit Poisons. Before his enlightenment, the Medicine Buddha made twelve vows, in which he vowed to later free all ill-formed, disabled and sick people from their infirmities. Introduction: The Medizinbduha is of blue color like lapis lazuli. He wears the monk's robes and sits in the full lotus seat. His left hand rests in the mudra (gesture) of meditation in his lap and holds a bowl filled with healing nectar and fruits. His right hand rests on his knee, with the palm in the mudra of granting blessings pointing upwards, holding the stem of a medicinal plant. (Myrobalan). He often appears accompanied by seven other medicine Buddhas.
