Green Tara
She is worshipped as the guardian against all perils. At any time, day or night, she is there to help and protect. She embodies the female deity in herself. Her name means both "star" and "saviour".
In Tibet she is called "Dölma", which simply means mother. There she is worshipped as the mother of all Buddhas. Her right hand is turned downwards gesturing granting of wishes, the left hand shows the gesture of protection.
