Amulet of the shrink-wrapped miniature edition of the book Chöying Dzöd by Longchenpa
This amulet contains the entire text of the most important work of Longchenpa (Longchen Rabjam): Chöying Dzöd – The Precious Treasury of the Basic Space of Phenomena (The Precious Treasury of the Elementary Space of Phenomena) which was carefully produced in an extremely reduced form and then shrink-wrapped in plastic for protection, so that it can be worn as an amulet or placed on the shrine.
Chöying Dzö - treasury of the Dharmadhatu, is one of the "Seven Treasures of Longchenpa", which is the most important works of Longchenpa (14. Jh.) apply. It embodies the essence of the Great Perfection or Dzogchen in verse form and deals mainly with the view of Trekchö.
This text was considered so precious by Jigme Lingpa that he always wore it in his bun. Nyoshul Khenpo described this as the book he would take with him to a deserted island.
And Paltrul Rinpoche wrote:
Chöying Dzöd has the meaning of the innate nature of the spirit, Dharmakaya.
It illuminates the naked original wisdom without affirming or denying anything.
It is the heart essence of the visions of the omniscient teacher Longchen Rabjam.
It is the most profound of all profound teachings.
It is the living emergence of the pure Dharmakaya as a teaching.
This excellent teaching is a living Buddha.
It fulfills the activities of the Buddha in this world.
It embodies the absolute vision of the Buddha.
Even if you saw the Buddha in person, there would be no greater teaching than this.
The Khyentse Vision Project has already offered these amulets at a Dharma event for the benefit of their projects. Manjughosha now offers 100 of these mini-books made in Thailand, shrink-wrapped in amulet form for protection, in a fundraising campaign for 25 euros each. With this, we can always be close to these highest teachings, also send them to others and contribute a little to the continued existence of our publishing house. As an addition there is a blessing volume by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
