Tsa Tsa
The traditional reliefs depict Buddha forms, stupas, and other auspicious symbols. These represent the enlightened qualities of the Buddhas. Creating and contemplating these Buddha aspects in the form of tsatsas creates a positive impression on our minds. The reliefs are all traditionally cast from Stewalin***, accompanied by meditation and mantras, and then dried. They can also be painted. All tsatsas are inscribed with three blessed grains of rice from Lama Phuntsok, pressed into the still-damp material at heart level from the back. Most tsatsas also bear the three sacred syllables OM AH HUM on the back. These represent the body, speech, and mind of a Buddha. Tsatsas represent the body of a Buddha and should therefore be handled with care. As meditation objects, they are just as helpful as statues and thangkas. A small note: The magnification in the photos makes significantly more detail visible than the naked eye can perceive. A tiny imperfection of just a few millimeters appears much larger – but in reality, it is barely visible or not visible at all. Furthermore, all the figures are snow-white. Unfortunately, this isn't always clear in the photos. Book recommendation: Wendelgard Werner: Tsha-Tsha ***We use high-quality Stewalin from Switzerland. This Stewalin is characterized by its exceptionally white color, high molding accuracy, rapid hardening, effortless demolding, and high break resistance. Hardened objects have a smooth, porcelain-like surface.
Some of the molds are from the Nalanda Monastery in France. We are very grateful for their support.
